Religion (generic)

The Title VII hop (UC as employer, 5 Mar 2025) is how religion enters the US campus overlay without writing a speech crime. Shared-ancestry theory is how some religion-coded claims enter Title VI. That theory is official; its fit is Disputed.

Supported

On the face of Title VII (US employment). On the face of many hate statutes. Not on the face of Title VI CRA (race / color / national origin).

Do not say Title VI names religion. It does not.

Employment overlay, not a listed-speech offence.
