    Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022

    Support includes incitement to commit an act of terrorism by dissemination of terrorist information through the internet, other electronic or digital means, or printed materials. This is incitement/support, not free-floating apologie.

    At least 20 years, up to life imprisonment
    A person who knowingly and directly or indirectly, solicits or renders support — (a) for the commission of an act of terrorism; or (b) to a terrorist group, commits an offence under this Act and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of at least 20 years and up to a maximum of life imprisonment. … For the purposes of subsection (1), “support” includes — (a) incitement to commit an act of terrorism by the dissemination of terrorist information through the internet, other electronic or digital means, or through the use of printed materials;

    • Do not collapse s.13 into French 421-2-5 apologie or Israel §24.
    • This is incitement and support, including disseminating terrorist information. It is speech next to designation, not a free-floating listed-speech offence.
    • The 2011 Act as amended in 2013 was repealed by this 2022 Act. Repealed s.11 is not live.
    • s.2(2)(g) (incites or induces a person to commit an act of terrorism) is a related general offence, not this quote.
